Moneygall 'B' 0 - Rearcross 'A' 8

Rearcross 'A' travelled to county Offaly venues last Sunday morning for league games in their respective divisions. Rearcross 'A' had a comprehensive eight nil victory over an understrength Moneygall 'B' at Barna in the First Division league. Val Kennedy opened the scoring in the 10th minute when he finished with a well struck shot from in front of goals, the lead was further extended in the 26th minute when the ball was knocked to the Moneygall net after good pressure by Val Kennedy. Rearcross went three nil ahead in the 47th minute when Val Kennedy headed to the net from a corner kick. Thomas Kennedy increased the tally to four nil in the 51st minute with a left legged effort to give him his fifteenth goal of the season. Derek O'Toole scored for the fourth Sunday in succession in the 55th minute when he hit the target with a well directed header from a Noel Deegan cross. Emmet Steed added to the scoreline in the 63rd minute with a good strike from the right wing. Derek O'Toole scored his second goal in the 66th minute with an accurately struck shot to the top corner of the net. Brendan Deegan completed the scoring in the 79 minute when he scored from inside the eighteen yard box.
