Rearcross 'A' 2 - Clonmore 1

Rearcross 'A' progressed to the semi-final of the Tipperary Cup last Sunday with a somewhat subdued 2-1 victory against Clonmore at a sun drenched Bilboa, Rearcross started brightly and went one nil ahead in the fifth minute when Thomas Kennedy finished to the net from in front of goals, Rearcross should have increased their tally however missed chances were to be the feature of the first half with several opportunities off target. Rearcross eventually went two nil ahead the 40th minute when Thomas Kennedy scored his second goal with a well struck left legged shot from the edge of the box. Rearcross were punished in the 1st minute of the second half when Clonmore broke through the centre to score a well taken goal, Rearcross should have added to the scoreline but had to play out the game with the slender one goal advantage, Clonmore never gave up and also had chances of an equaliser.
