Ballymackey 0 - Rearcross 'A' 1

Rearcross 'A' continued their defence of the Barry Cup last Sunday with a well earned one nil semi-final victory over a strong Ballymackey outfit. Rearcross 'A' were unlucky not to have opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Micheal O'Doherty's headed effort clipped the crossbar. Ballymackey had the ball in the Rearcross net five minutes later but the finish from close range was disallowed for an offside infringement. Thomas Kennedy broke the deadlock in the 30th minute when he rifled his nineteenth goal of the season past the Ballymackey netminder. Ballymackey applied the pressure in the second half but were unable to breach a determined Rearcross rearguard with Oliver Kennedy in splendid form in the Rearcross goals. Rearcross will now contest their third successive Barry Cup Final on Sunday week against Moneygall at 2-00PM at the Garda College, Templemore.
