Rearcross 'A' 5 - Thurles Town 'A' 2

Rearcross 'A' recorded an emphatic 5-2 victory over Thurles Town 'A' in the Premier Division League in Bilboa last Sunday, Rearcross 'A' playing with wind advantage in the first half opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Derek O'Toole finished from an acute angle. Derek O'Toole added his second in the 30th minute when he broke through the centre of the Thurles defence and rifled the ball past the Thurles keeper from the edge of the box. Rearcross went three nil ahead in the 42nd minute when Emmet Steed was on hand to finish the ball to the net at the backpost. Thomas Kennedy scored his eight goal of the season in the 48th minute with a well taken goal. Thurles Town pulled a goal back in the 61st minute when Fintan Moore finished from inside the eighteen yard box. Micheal Doherty got his name on the scoresheet in the 71st when he broke down the left flank and finished powerfully to the net. Davy Coppinger grabbed a consolation goal for Thurles Town in the 76th minute when he finished from close range.
