Clodiagh Rangers 'A' 2 - Rearcross 'A' 1.

Rearcross 'A' were beaten 2-1 last Sunday by last season's First Division league winners Clodiagh Rangers in a Premier Division league fixture played at the Drombane venue. Rearcross got off to the best possible start with the opening goal in the 2nd minute when good play on the left flank resulted in a cross which was well finished to the net by Joey Nolan, Rearcross failed to build on this early lead and the homeside were back in the game in the 37th minute when a quickly taken free kick was headed to the net by Brendan Tracey. Rearcross enjoyed dominant periods in the second half but failed to add to the scoreline, Clodiagh Rangers sealed victory in the 67th minute when Diarmuid Delahunty converted from the penalty spot.
