Puckane 'B' 2 - Rearcross 'B' 1
Rearcross 'B' were defeated 2-1 by Puckane 'B' in the Kennedy Cup last Sunday. Rearcross made a strong start to the game and were rewarded in the 21st minute when Liam Hammersley blasted to the net from outside the area. Puckane beat the offside trap in the 36th minute to level the encounter. Puckane enjoyed their best period of the game early in the second half and went 2-1 up in the 14th minute with a low drive from close range. A determined Rearcross outfit tried valiantly to get back on level terms and were denied a chance to take the game to extra time when Davy Ryan(L) was upended in the box deep in to injury time, however the resulting penalty was well saved by the Puckane net minder.
