Rearcross 'A' 4 - Ardcroney 'A' 0

Rearcross 'A' recorded a comprehensive four nil victory over Ardcroney 'A' last Sunday in Bilboa in a Premier Division League fixture. A wind assisted Rearcross outfit enjoyed the better of the early exchanges and went ahead in the 14th minute when a Thomas Kennedy corner kick was finished to the net from close range by Emmet Steed. The home side was unlucky not to go two up in the 29th minute when a well struck 25 yard free by Thomas Kennedy was just wide of the target. A second half dominated by Rearcross saw the home side increase their lead in the 54th minute when a good cross from the right wing by Sean Kennedy was superbly headed to the net by Val Kennedy. Brendan Deegan made it three nil six minutes later when he put the ball past the Ardcroney keeper from the edge of the six yard box. Brendan Deegan put the victory beyond doubt in the 71st minute when he broke through the centre and slotted home a well taken goal to give him his fourth strike of the season.
