Rearcross 'B' 2 - Shannon Rangers 3

Rearcross 'B' bowed out of the Tipperary Cup last Sunday by the odd goal in five against Second Division side Shannon Rangers in Bilboa. The away side edged themselves ahead in the 2nd minute, Rearcross 'B' were back on level terms in the 15th minute when PJ McLoughlin scored his eleventh of the season with a well taken goal. Shannon Rangers went ahead for the second time in the 38th minute from a free kick. The home side was facing an uphill battle twenty minutes into the second half when Rangers scored their third goal against the run of play, however Rearcross 'B' were back in the game three minutes later, when Joey Nolan scored from in front of goal. The Shannon Rangers defence held stern for the remainder of the game to the give them a place in the second round of the Cup.
