Rearcross 'A' advanced to the third round of the Tipperary Cup last Sunday in Bilboa with a deserved one nil victory over Roscrea Town. The home side were unlucky not to open the scoring in the 23rd minute when Martin McLoughlin's effort rebounded of the upright. Roscrea should have levelled early in the second half but the shot from close range was just wide of the target, Rearcross 'A' got the all-important goal in the 59th minute when Emmet Steed slotted home his seventh goal of the season from the penalty spot.
