Rearcross 'A' advanced to the second round of the Munster Junior Cup with a two nil victory over Thurles Town 'A' in Rearcross last Sunday. Rearcross had the better scoring chances in the opening half, with the Thurles keeper coming the rescue in the 23rd minute with a fine save from the boot of Derek O'Toole. Rearcross went one nil ahead in the 55th minute when Derek O'Toole's well struck shot from outside the eighteen yard box sailed to the roof of the net. Emmet Steed added a second in the 73rd minute when he headed Derek O'Toole's cross from the left wing past the Thurles netminder.
