Rearcross 'B' 5 - Shinrone 'B' 1
Rearcross 'B' got back to winning ways last Sunday in Rearcross with a comprehensive 5-1 league victory against Shinrone 'B'. Liam Nolan(B) edged Rearcross ahead in the 8th minute when he finished with a right footed shot from close range, Liam O'Toole made it two nil six minutes later when he hit the target from the edge of the six yard box. Paul Murphy shot the home side in to a three nil lead midway through the half with a goal at the back post. James Nolan's well struck shot rebounded of the crossbar in the 38th minute, however Paul Murphy was on hand to drive the ball to the net to leave Rearcross in full control at the half way mark. Paul Murphy completed his hat trick in the 56th minute with a well taken penalty. Shinrone got in for their only goal of the game a minute later when Eddy Davis scored from the edge of the eighteen yard box. Exchanges were evenly shared for the remainder of the game with Rearcross coming closest in the 77th minute when the crossbar denied Joey Nolan.
