Rearcross 'A' 3 - Moneygall 'A' 0

Rearcross 'A' recorded a three nil victory over an under strength Moneygall 'A' in a league fixture played at the Rearcross F.C. Grounds on Easter Monday, Rearcross were somewhat lucky not to have gone behind in the opening half with keeper Oliver Kennedy doing well to keep the score line intact. Richie Greene brought the best out of the Rearcross keeper in the 36th minute when he reacted well to tap the Moneygall striker's shot over the bar, while minutes later Oliver Kennedy saved from close range to deny Moneygall the opener. Rearcross dominated the second half and went ahead two minutes in to the half when a good passing movement involving Emmet Steed and Derek O'Toole saw the latter finishing from inside the eighteen yard box. Brendan Deegan was unlucky not to put Rearcross further ahead in the 54th minute when his effort from the left flank clipped the woodwork. Rearcross edged in to a two nil lead in the 66th minute when Emmet Steed rifled to the roof of the net from in front of goal. Derek O'Toole was denied a second goal in the 75th minute when he broke on the right, however his well struck effort rebounded off the crossbar. Declan O'Toole sealed the victory in the 82nd minute when he finished a PJ McLoughlin cross from close range.
