Rearcross 'B' 1 - Moneygall 'B' 1

Rearcross 'B' turned in a determined display to earn a share of the spoils against high flying Moneygall 'B' in a league fixture played in Rearcross last Sunday afternoon. Bertie Treacy put the visitors ahead in the 6th minute when he got behind the defence and slotted home from inside the box. Rearcross were denied when Denis Kennedy's free kick struck the crossbar minutes later. James Nolan scored a dramatic equaliser for Rearcross midway through the half when his thirty five yard strike sailed to the roof of the net. James Nolan was unlucky not to grab a second in the 30th minute when the crossbar again came to the rescue for the visitors. Moneygall were on top at the start of the second half, however the Rearcross rearguard stuck to their task well. Rearcross will be disappointed not to have taken full points from this game as the woodwork was to thwart their efforts for the third time late in the game when Liam Ryan's shot hit the upright and also had claims for a penalty turned down when Davy Ryan Luke was tackled en route to goal minutes before the end.
