A penalty shootout had to decide this semi-final fixture after Rearcross 'B' and Kilcommon 'B' finished on a one all scoreline after normal time, Adrian Ryan edged Rearcross ahead after ten minutes with a well taken goal, Paudie Devitt's well struck shot wasn't far off the target midway through the half. Darren Quigley was well positioned to save a Donal Gilmartin effort with three minutes remaining in the half, Rearcross were fortunate just on the stroke of half time as a cross from the right rolled menacingly across the goalmouth and out to safety. Adrian Ryan found Trevor Delahunty minutes in to the second half however the effort was just over the top. Seamus Butler levelled for Kilcommon 'B' ten minutes into the half when he slotted to the corner of the net from in front of goal. Rearcross looked to have got the breakthrough midway through the half, but however Seamus Carey got back well to clear the line. The sides were still level at the final whistle so the outcome was decided on a penalty shootout, with Donal Gilmartin, Seamus Butler and Leo Ryan scoring to seal the victory for Kilcommon, while the woodwork denied Adrian Ryan and Trevor Delahaunty's attempts, Myles Devitt's penalty was saved by Paul Quigley.
