Nenagh Town 'B' 5 - Rearcross 'B' 2

 

Rearcross 'B' were defeated on a 5-2 scoreline by Nenagh 'B' in a Reserve Division league fixture played at Islandbawn last Sunday morning, Rearcross enjoyed a one nil lead at the half way stage after Nigel Ryan beat an advancing keeper in the 20th minute following good play from Trevor Delahunty. Nenagh responded with two early second half goals, Rearcross rallied and equalised in the 66th minute when James Nolan released Trevor Delahunty who side stepped the Nenagh custodian and knocked the ball to the net. The game was up for grabs at this point, however it was Nenagh who got the breakthrough in the 79th minute with a first time strike from the right. Rearcross lost their shape and conceded two more in the final five minutes to leave a score line that didn't do justice to the their performance on the day.
