Cormacstown 'A' 2 - Rearcross 'A' 1

Rearcross 'A' had nothing to show for their trip to Cormacstown last Sunday afternoon as the home side claimed the points on a 2-1 scoreline, Rearcross made a lively start and were a goal to the good in the 11th minute when the ball broke to Matthew Ryan Luke who finished to the net from inside the eighteen yard box. Cormacstown battled their way back in to the game and threatened with an effort from the right and then from a free kick outside the box. Rearcross conceded an equaliser shortly before the break with an own goal. The second half was evenly contested with Cormacstown getting the vital goal in the 55th minute when Kevin o'Dwyer sailed through and rifled to the net from close range, Rearcross tried hard to get back on par with efforts from Joey Nolan and Matthew Ryan Luke not far off the mark late in the game.
