Rearcross 'A' were victorious on a three nil scoreline against Kilcommon
'B' on Saturday evening, the opening interchanges were hard and fair with
Nicky Carroll posing a constant threat up front for Kilcommon, Rearcross were
creating their fair of chances too and took the lead midway through the first
half when the ball finished in the corner of the net with John Ryan Luke getting
the last touch, the second half saw Kilcommon push forward in numbers with
the Rearcross backline containing the situation well, Derek O'Toole made it
two nil twelve minutes in to the second half with a left legged effort from
the edge of the eighteen yard box. John Ryan Luke sealed the victory with
ten minutes remaining with a precision spot kick that went straight to the
top corner. Ger Keane was to the fore for Kilcommon for the remainder of the
game making two fine saves in the process.
