Rearcross 'A' 0 - Clodiagh Rangers 'A' 2

Two goals conceded in as many minutes gave the points to Clodiagh Rangers 'A' in this league tie played in Rearcross last Sunday afternoon, Rearcross made a bright start and were on top for long spells in the first half and were unlucky not to go ahead in the 10th minute when John Ryan Luke's well struck penalty hit the underside of the cross bar, Clodagh Rangers weren't having any luck from the penalty spot either when Declan Carr's penalty kick pulled to the right of the target midway through the half. Clodiagh took the lead in the 45th minute when Robert Jordan took advantage of a defensive mix up and knocked the ball to the net from close range. Rearcross were rocked in the first minute of the second period when Declan Carr got on the end of a free kick from out on the left and headed home from the edge of the six yard box. Rearcross had their chances to get back in to the game with Adrian Hurley coming closest when his goal bound shot took a deflection to safety in the 74th minute while Jack Ryan denied Emmet Steed minutes later with a stop from close range, however it wasn't to be for the home side as Clodiagh held on for the win.
