Toomevara 'B' 4 - Rearcross 'B' 4

Rearcross 'B' shared the spoils on a four all score line against Toomevara 'B' last Sunday in Toomevara, Rearcross had the early chances, however it was the home side that went ahead in the 15th minute with a strike from close range, Rearcross equalised two minutes later when Eamon Devitt applied the finish to a Brendan Deegan cross. Rearcross raced in to a 2-1 lead midway through the half when Brendan Deegan headed a Darren Quigley corner past the Toomevara custodian. Toomevara were back on level terms in the 50th minute when slack marking gave the home side the opportunity. Rearcross were back in front again in the 65th minute Noel Deegan's free kick found Brendan Deegan who slotted home. Rearcross were cruising at this stage and increased their lead in the 71st minute when Noel Deegan lobbed the keeper. Toomevara brought it back to the minimum a minute later with a well taken goal. The sides were all square for the third time in the 75th minute when a skirmish in the Rearcross penalty area resulted in the concession of an own goal, both sets of defences were to the fore for the remainder of the game with Simon Kennedy getting a vital touch to a corner kick late in the game
