Cloughjordan 'B' 0 - Rearcross 'A' 3

Rearcross 'A' made it through to the second round of the Munster Junior Cup last Sunday morning in Cloughjordan on a three nil score line against Cloughjordan Reserves. Rearcross were one nil ahead at half time after Ger Kennedy ran on to Liam O'Toole's through ball in the 20th minute and shot past the Cloughjordan netminder. The home side were dominant towards the end of the half and Val Kennedy had to clear off the line in the 42nd minute. Rearcross had the better chances at the start of the second half but had to wait until the 73rd minute for goal number two when Liam Nolan(B) found space to shoot to the net from the edge of the eighteen yard box, the woodwork denied Liam Nolan a second when his headed effort clipped the underside of the crossbar five minutes later, Cloughjordan were unlucky not to reduce the deficit in the dying minutes when a pile driver from the edge of the box wasn't far over the bar. Rearcross grabbed a third with a minute remaining when Eamon O'Toole scored from in front of goal.
