Rearcross 'A' 0 - Nenagh Town 'A' 3

Rearcross 'A' finished their interest in this season's Premier Cup last Sunday morning in Rearcross after succumbing to a well drilled Nenagh Town 'A' side on a three nil score line, Rearcross held their own in the opening exchanges, however Nenagh soon started to stamp the authority and threatened in the sixth minute when Trevor Morrissey was given space on the left and floated an effort over the bar from the corner of the box. The incessant rain was making conditions difficult, Val Kennedy swung in a cross in the 11th minute, however the strong wind pulled the ball over the end line, Rearcross were unlucky not to take the lead in the 18th minute when Oliver Kennedy's long kick out bounced in the danger area and had the Nenagh custodian beaten, however luck was with the Nenagh side as the ball skidded to right of the target. The visitors took the lead in the 22nd minute when an attacking move on the left produced a shot on target and it was Nenagh who were quicker off the mark as Shane O'Gorman followed up to tap in from close range. Rearcross were holding their own and came close in the 28th minute when Matthew Ryan Luke broke on the right and sent in a looping shot which wasn't far off the mark. A John Ryan Luke header in the 31st minute seemed to have been impeded by the use of a hand, however claims for a penalty went unheard. Rearcross were dealt a further blow three minutes later when a shot from outside the box fell to Paul Maher for the simplest of tap ins. Rearcross playing against the elements in the second half found it difficult to get going with Nenagh looking the more threatening throughout, Rearcross did enjoy a period of dominance midway through the half, however it was on a counter attack in the 66th minute that Nenagh eased away from the home side when Darren O'Gorman scored with a finish from out on the left flank. Joey Nolan combined well with Derek O'Toole in the 70th minute, however the Nenagh keeper was well positioned to save the resulting shot. It was all Nenagh for the remainder of the game with Oliver Kennedy coming to the rescue more than once to keep the score line intact.
