Nenagh Celtic 'A' 2 - Rearcross 'A' 0

Rearcross 'A' completed their league campaign against Nenagh Celtic 'A' last Sunday at the Dublin Road venue and were on the receiving end of a two nil defeat, Rearcross 'A' with survival in the Premier Division already assured fielded a somewhat changed team and matched the Premier League contenders for long spells. Sloppy defending allowed Nenagh in for both goals, the first coming in the 10th minute when Darren Mitchell was first to react from close range, John Donnellan made it two nil for the Nenagh side midway through the half when he finished the ball over the line with claims for a free out going unheard, Rearcross had their chances in the first half too with Emmet Steed's headed effort not far off the mark on 28 minutes and a Derek O'Toole's strike which flew just over the bar late in the half, the second half was played at a lackluster pace as Nenagh Celtic 'A' held on secure the win that sets up a winner takes all clash against Nenagh Town 'A' that will decide the destiny of the 2003/2004 Premier League title, meanwhile Rearcross 'A' await a Tipperary Cup Quarter Final meeting against Nenagh Celtic 'A' or Clodiagh Rangers 'A' on a date yet to be decided.
