Rearcross 'B' emerged victorious from this league fixture against Blackcastle 'B' in Rearcross last Sunday by the odd goal in five, but had to come from behind twice to secure the points. The visitors were first to score after a mix up in the Rearcross goal handed the Templemore side the initiative, Rearcross were dominant after this with Thomas Kennedy and Paul Hogan coming close with successive efforts that thumped off the woodwork, Joey Nolan then grabbed an equaliser for Rearcross ten minutes before the half with a well worked goal. Rearcross showed strongly at the start of the second half, however it was the visitors who went ahead for the second time after the ball was forced to the net after a goalmouth scramble early on, some team changes had the desired effect and Rearcross were back on level terms when Nigel Ryan picked up the ball in midfield and raced clear of the Blackcastle defence before blasting past the Blackcastle netminder, Declan O'Toole grabbed the all important score with fifteen minutes remaining with an effort from out on the wing to cap off a dogged performance from the home side and a vital league win in the process.
