Rearcross ‘B’ were at home to Borroway Rovers on Sunday last
in a league fixture played in blustery conditions with the home side winning
out on a 4-1 score line, Liam Ryan gave Rearcross the perfect start in the
15th minute with a pile driver from thirty five yards, Rearcross kept the
pressure on with Thomas Kennedy and Declan O’Toole unlucky not to get on the
score sheet, Nigel Ryan made it two nil just before half time with a finish
from close range after a good passing movement, Rearcross were well on top
in the second half and Liam Ryan made it three nil on 55 minutes when he knocked
to the net after Thomas Kennedy’s twenty yard effort came back off the crossbar,
Anthony Ryan increased the advantage in the 80th minute before Borroway Rovers
grabbed a consolation goal with two minutes remaining.
