Rearcross Youths travelled to play an under strength Arra Rovers
in Portroe last Saturday and collected maximum points against the home side,
Rearcross were in control from the start but had to wait until the 25th minute
for the opener when Paul Hogan broke down the right wing before pulling the
ball back to Robert Harrington who side footed to the top corner from twenty
yards, the visitors were two nil ahead on the half hour mark when Seamus Feehan
played a through ball to James Gough who crossed to Larry McLoughlin with
the resulting effort from ten yards finishing in the net, the Arra keeper
made a full stretch save from Jamie Ryan minutes later, Paul Hogan made it
three nil just before the break when his shot deceived the Portroe net minder,
Arra Rovers upped the tempo in the second half and Jim Caplis had to be on
full alert to keep the home side at bay, Paul Hogan grabbed his second goal
in the 66th minute following a cleverly taken free kick from Jamie Ryan, Rearcross
ran out easy winners with James Gough scoring late in the game with a neat
finish after good support play from Robert Harrington and Jamie Ryan,
