Rearcross 'B' bowed out of the Divisional Cup after a penalty shoot out against Templetouhy 'B' at the away venue last Sunday, Rearcross played with wind advantage in the first half, however it was Templetouhy that made the better start and came close with a strike from the edge of the box that clipped the upright before going wide, Rearcross settled after this let off and went ahead midway through the half when a break on the left resulted in good interplay between Liam Nolan(B) and Nigel Ryan, the resulting cross found the in-rushing Liam Ryan who blasted home from close range, Rearcross upped their performance for the remainder of the half but failed to add to their tally with Liam Ryan and Nigel Ryan coming closest for the visitors. Templetouhy playing with wind advantage in the second half applied the early pressure, however the Rearcross rearguard held firm. Rearcross counter attacked, Thomas Kennedy released Nigel Ryan who was unlucky as the effort was wide of the target. The home side levelled with a volleyed effort from eight yards after the ball broke from a corner kick. Rearcross responded and pressed hard for the winner coming close with efforts from Paul Murphy and Nigel Ryan, Rearcross enjoyed most of the possession in the extra time period and were denied by the woodwork when Trevor Delahunty's headed effort struck the crossbar, Rearcross were luckless again in the penalty shoot out as Templetouhy progressed on a 3-1 score line, Paul Murphy converted the Rearcross penalty.
