Nenagh Celtic 'B' 4 - Rearcross 'B' 2

Rearcross 'B' travelled to Toomevara last Wednesday for this Second Division Shield semi-final and finished on the wrong end of a 4-2 score line, Reacross got the perfect start ten minutes in when Eamon Devitt who had pushed forward from his right back position latched on to a half clearance on the edge of the box before stiking low past the Nenagh custodian, Rearcross dominated for the next fifteen minutes and were unlucky not to go two nil in front when two Rearcross players collided in front of the target with a goal at their mercy. Nenagh equalised five minutes before half time with a spendid volleyed effort from a headed clearance. Rearcross made a promising start to the second half, however sharpness in front of goal was found wanting, the price was paid and Celtic went 2-1 ahead on the 60th minute mark with a powerful header from a corner kick, the visitors drew level on 78 minutes with an exquisitiely struck twenty five yard free kick from the boot of Paul Murphy flew to the net, two minutes on saw Joey Nolan's chipped effort shave the Nenagh crossbar, this proved to be a turning point and Nenagh powered their way to victory in the remaining eight minutes when Nenagh pounced twice to book their place in the Final, best for Rearcross on the day were Adrian Hurley, Eamon Devitt, Paul Murphy and Damien Mullins.
