Nenagh Town 'B' 3 - Rearcross 'B' 0

Rearcross 'B' visited Brickfields last Sunday a Tipperary Cup third round clash against First Division side Nenagh Town 'B', this was an open free flowing game and Rearcross were by no means out of their depth against a side who plyed their trade two Divisions higher, Rearcross had their chances early on with Thomas Kennedy and Liam Ryan bring the best out of the Nenagh custodian, Davy Ryan Luke also had a shot on target midway through the half. The home side took the lead just before half time with a clinically taken free kick that left Simon Kennedy with no chance. Rearcross started the second half in determined fashion and had all the pressure in the first twenty minutes, Liam Ryan shaved the post with a well drilled shot and then Nigel Ryan saw his effort just over the bar minutes later. Nenagh tacked on two goals to seal their passage to the fourth round against a Rearcross who were luckless in front of goal and who were also thwarted by some fine goalkeeping on the day, this was the final game in what was a memorable season for a Rearcross 'B' squad that landed the first NT&DL title for the Club, well done to all concerned.
