Rearcross Youths travelled to Borrisoleigh for this Cup semi final show down against the home side and were unlucky to lose out by the narrowest of margins, Rearcross made a promising start and Colin O'Doherty came close in the fifth minute, the home side came in to the game as the half progressed and got what proved to be the all important goal with nine minutes remaining in the opening half, Rearcross battled gallantly in the second half and Colin O'Doherty had the ball in the Borris net on the 70th minute mark, however the score was disallowed for an offside infringement, Rearcross tried in vain for an equaliser for the remainder of the game, however it wasn't to be for Rearcross on the day with Thomas Grace, Robert Harrington, Seamus Feehan and Colin O'Doherty turning in sterling performances.
