Rearcross 'A' 2 - Doon 2
(Rearcross win 4-2 on penalties)

Rearcross made it through to the Final of the Ann Kennedy Cup Tournament but just about against a resilient Doon team in this semi-final fixture played at the Rearcross venue on Saturday evening, Rearcross made a bright start and a James Nolan cross from out on the right was met my Emmet Steed who's headed effort looped away from the upright, Doon who were ably marshalled by veteran Jody Shanahan were firing on all cylinders after this and Michael Ryan came close with a well struck effort after eight minutes of play and this was then followed up with a good strike from Kevin Shanahan. Doon went on the take the lead seconds later when Shane McKenna was nicely positioned to knock the ball home from in front of goal. Liam Nolan fired on target midway through the half, however Nick Jones in the Doon goal made a fine reflex save. Rearcross drew level when the ball broke to Declan O'Toole who poked home from close range with ten minutes remaining in the half, Kevin Shanahan had Doon back in front three minutes later with a superb left footed effort that went straight to the corner of the net in what will surely prove to be the goal of the tournament. Rearcross were sluggish at the start of the half with a James Nolan shot the only highlight in the opening minutes, Liam Nolan broke on the left and was robbed to see his chipped effort come back of the Doon crossbar.
