Rearcross 'B' 2 - Cappamore Celtic 3

Rearcross 'B' played host to Cappamore Celtic in this Ann Kennedy Cup Tournament quarter final fixture on Wednesday evening, Cappamore eventually won on a 3-2 score line after the game was finished under floodlights when an unfortunate Mike Sweeney sustained a serious leg injury midway through the the first half. Cappamore made the early running and went ahead when Paudie Coyle headed home from the edge of the six yard box. Joey Nolan put Rearcross back in the frame with a well taken goal just before half time.
Cappamore went back in front when Mike Ryan booted to the back of the net. Rearcross pushed forward in search of an equaliser and were rewarded when Tommy Ryan Luke(S) found space in front of goal and made no mistake with a well taken goal. Andy Murphy grabbed the all important goal for Cappamore with eight minutes to go with a superb effort from the just inside the eighteen yard box.
We would like to wish a full and speedy recovery to Cappamore defender Mike Sweeney.
