Rearcross 'B' 0 - Clodiagh Rangers 'B'

Rearcross 'B' played out a scoreless draw against Clodiagh Rangers 'B' in this league tie played at Rearcross FC Grounds on Sunday afternoon. It was to prove to be a luckless outing for the home side as Joey Nolan's long range effort after 16 minutes struck the cross bar. Rearcross were enjoying the better of the exchanges at this stage, however further furstration was to follow ten minutes later when Joey Nolan's shot came off the woodwork for the second time. The visitors started to get a foothold towards the end of the half and it was the turn of the Drombane side to be denied by the woodwork ten minutes before half time when Paul Ryan's penalty kick clipped the crossbar. The second half was well contested with Jim Caplis between the posts for Rearcross very much to the fore. Both sides had chances to take the points but the all important goal proved elusive on the day although Rearcross did have claims for a penalty turned down late on.
