Rearcross ‘B’ got back to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Ardcroney ‘B’ in Rearcross on Sunday morning. The sides were tied on a two all score line at the midway stage with all four goals coming in a five minute spell. Ardcroney took the lead on the half hour mark when Robbie Lawlor bundled the ball over the line from close range. Rearcross got back level a minute later when Joey Nolan released Thomas Kennedy who put the ball in the corner of the net. Rearcross took the lead in the 34th minute when Thomas Kennedy swung in the cross to Joey Nolan with the headed effort finishing inside the post. Ardcroney got back level seconds later after Robbie Lawlor converted from the spot. Rearcross had the better chances in the second half but had to wait until the 75th minute for the breakthrough when Thomas Kennedy kept his composure before sending a right footed finish between the posts. The result was put beyond doubt a minute later when Kieran Devitt set up Joey Nolan who sent a delicate flick over the Ardcroney net minder. Rearcross could have added further to their tally after this, however the management team of Mikey Carey, Liam Nolan(B) and Jim Caplis were happy that all three points were secured on the day..
