Holycross 1 - Rearcross 'B' 2

Rearcross 'B' got back to winning ways last Sunday with a hard earned 2-1 result against league leaders Holycross 'B' at the away venue. Holycross shaded the exchanges in the first half and held a one nil lead at the break after Paudie Doran scored midway through the half although Thomas Kennedy, Joey Nolan and Sean Hickey all managed shots on target for Rearcross. A much improved second half display from the visitors saw the sides level when Joey Nolan's free kick went all the way to the net. The game was in the melting pot after this and Rearcross keeper Jim Caplis came to the rescue with a string of top class saves.A dramatic finish saw Rearcross nudge their way in front in the 85th minute when good work from Damien Nolan forced a corner. The resulting delivery from Thomas Kennedy saw Davy Ryan Luke head the winner to the back of net to give Rearcross a hard earned win in the end.
