Rearcross 'B' 0 - Shannon Rangers 0

This Friday night clash saw Rearcross 'B' play host to a lively Shannon Rangers outfit that saw both sets of defences dominate throughout with a scoreless draw the final outcome. Chances were far and few between in the opening half, however half chances did fall to Thomas Kennedy and Joey Nolan, however it was proving difficult to breakdown a teak tough visiting defence. The second half was a similar affair although Thomas Kennedy was luckless ten minutes in with a good effort. Shannon Rangers pressed hard in the final third of the game but Rearcross defended stubbornly with good displays from James Deegan, Liam Nolan and Matthew Ryan Luke. Rearcross might have stole all three points with nine minutes remaining when Shane Lenihan broke on the right wing and was unlucky to see his effort drag just outside the upright. Both sides held firm after this to earn a share of the spoils in what was deemed a fair result on the night.
