Ardcroney 'B' 1 - Rearcross 'B' 2

Rearcross 'B' got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory against Ardcroney 'B' last Sunday. Rearcross were under pressure in the first half but managed to the get to the half time whistle without conceding with keeper Jim Caplis playing his part with two smashing saves, the best chance of the half fell to Shane Lenihan with the resulting effort saved by the Ardcroney shot stopper. The second half was a livelier affair, Rearcross took the lead when good play from Shane Fahy and Joey Nolan saw Shane Lenihan drive between the posts. Ardcroney made a quick recovery and got back on par with a Robbie Lawlor effort from outside the box. The game was in the balance after this, however the initiative was handed to Rearcross when an Ardcroney player handled in the box, Kieran Devitt stepped up to send an exquisite penalty to the top corner. The visitors held firm after this and had fine performances on the day from Kieran Devitt and Shane Lenihan.
