Rearcross Youths were away to Arra Rovers Youths in a first division clash with all 3 points going to the home side. Rearcross having players missing due to other sport commitments, put out a team missing some of their regular starters against an Arra side who were deemed to be too strong for the visitors. It was the home side that took the early chances and only for the heroics of Darragh Ryan this match could have been put to bed before half time. Arra were creating all the chances with little reply from the visitors and were deemed unlucky to be going in at half time level. The second half started off like the first however, Arra had scored the goal. A superb shot taken from outside the box and finishing up in the top right hand corner leaving the keeper with no chance. On 75 minutes Arra wnt 2 nil up with the striker been put through to break the offside trap and calmly slotting the ball passed the on coming keeper. Rearcross however did not throw in the towel with Gary O'Brien and Darragh Kennedy both unlucky with attemts on goal. On the counter Arra scored there final goal with a fine finish from inside the box. Rearcross will be looking to get back to winning ways with the arrival of lough Derg to Rarcross FC Grounds. Good performances by Darragh Ryan(L), Davy Stapleton and Tommy Lyons.
