Rearcross 'B' 2 - Sallypark 'B' 5
Rearcross 'B' hosted this Third Division League fixture against Salllypark 'B' in Rearcross on Sunday afternoon and succumbed to their second league defeat on a 5-2 score line. Liam Ryan had given the home side the lead with just three minutes gone thanks to a Joey Nolal assist, however Sallypark took over after this and took a 5-1 lead to the break with goals from Anthony Madden, Paudie Ryan, Chris Treacy and David Corrigan before the home side were luckless to concede an own goal just before the break. Rearcross picked it up in the second half and reduced the deficit with a headed goal from Aidan Long following good approach play by Darragh Kennedy and Joey Nolan. Rearcross continued to enjoy more than their fair share of possession and came close with efforts from Joey Nolan and Darragh Kennedy, however if finished 5-2 to the visiting side, Rearcross will be disappointed to have conceded five first half goals but will take heart from their second half performance.
