Nenagh AFC 'C' 5 - Rearcross 'A' 1
Rearcross played host to a youthful Nenagh side in this Munster Junior Cup tie. Rearcross seemed to have started the brighter when Gary O Brien found Michael O Gorman who finished to the top corner while under pressure from the Nenagh rearguard. On the 28th minute Nenagh sprang back into life and scored the equalising goal. The second half started with Nenagh winning a corner. Darragh Ryan was unlucky in the Rearcross goals as he managed to get a hand to the effort but was unable to prevent it from crossing the line. Five minutes later Nenagh had put another one past Rearcross. 3-1 was the score line and Rearcross seemed to have a mountain to climb. Rearcross had a number of chances to peg a goal back but failed to convert. Gary O Brien had an effort saved by the Nenagh goalkeeper. Thomas Kennedy was played through by Michael O Gorman but whose shot was off target. As Rearcross tried to pile on the pressure, a mix up in the Rearcross rearguard led to Nenagh converting again. Nenagh scored again in the final 2 minutes leaving Reacross on the wrong end of a 5-1 score line.
