Gurtagarry 4 - Rearcross 'B' 1
Rearcross B travelled to Gurtagarry last Sunday morning and it was the home side who started the brightest and they took the lead on the 10th minute. On the 15th minute Gurtagarry had a shoot on goal but this was saved by Joey Nolan onto the crossbar. Gurtagarry continued their pressure on the Rearcross goal and were rewarded with a goal on the 20th minute. On the 25th minute P.J. Mcloughlin made a great tackle to stop an almost certain Gurtagarry goal. Rearcross finally got a foothold on the game and a Gary Ryan pass to PJ McLoughlin led to a Rearcross goal. However the Rearcross lead was short lived and Gurtagarry made it 3-1 on the stroke of half time. Rearcross started brightly in the second half and had a Liam Nolan shot just over the bar. Gurtagarry then had a free saved by Thomas Kennedy who had gone in goals with Joey Nolan gone out the field. Joey Nolan then had a shot just wide and Gary Ryan also came close with a shot. There was good play by Sean Kennedy, Dylan Ryan and P.J. McLoughlin but this unfortunately ended up wide for the Rearcross attack. Gutagarry extended their to 4-1 in the 83rd minute but Rearcross didn't give up. A John Shanahan pass to Joey Nolan led to a shot by Joey it brought a good save from the oppositions keeper. The score line finished up Rearcross 1 Gurtagarry 4.
