Rearcross 'B' 1 - BT Harps 2
Rearcross B played host to B.T. Harps B last Friday evening and on the 10th minute B.T. Harps took the lead after a free was touched into the net. Rearcross got a foothold on the game and Diarmuid Sheedy and Michael O Gorman had attempts on goal.Michael O Gorman found the net on two occasions but was called back for off side for both. B.T. Harps had a few attempts on goal but it was Rearcross who drew level after a Theo English cross to Liam Nolan resulted in Liam finishing it to the top corner, making the scoreline 1-1. B.T. Harps had an early shot on goal in the second half but this was saved by Seanie Sheedy in goal. Good work from Michael O Gorman resulted in a cross to J. Quinn which went over. B.T. Harps then hit the crossbar from a header and again with a shot. Theo English then made a goal saving tackle and the back four for Rearcross were all defending well. Liam Nolan was then dimissed for a second yellow but Rearcross then came close when a Michael O Gorman free was just wide from a Sean Kennedy header. B.T. Harps grabbed the winner with 6 minutes remaining from a powerful shot and almost got another but Sean Sheedy pulled off an excellent save. The scoreline finished 2-1 in favour of the visitors
