BT Harps 'B' 4 - Rearcross 'B' 1
Rearcross FC B team travelled to B.T. Harps last Sunday morning with an under strength team and they found themselves 2 nil down after 20 minutes. Rearcross could have been further behind only for two great saves from Seanie Sheedy in goals. Rearcross finally got a foothold in the game. Thomas Kennedy had a long range effort, Liam Nolan had a free and Sean Kennedy headed against the crossbar. B.T. Harps had the final chance of the half and this just went barely wide. Two minutes into the second half Rearcross conceded a penalty but fortunately it was missed. Rearcross settled themselves into the game and Sean Kennedy latched onto the end of a Rearcross throw which found the net. Mark Hogan and P.J. McLoughlin then had chances on goal but these were all saved. However it was B.T. Harps who got the next score of the game to make it 3 -1. Seanie Sheedy was busy all day in goals and pulled off another good save. Leo Ryan had a shot straight across the goals and Sean Kennedy had his shot saved. B.T. Harps continued the pressure on the Rearcross defence and made it 4 -1. Leo Ryan then had his shot on goal saved and Seanie Sheedy was called into action at the other end he pulled off another great save. The scoreline finished up 4 -1 in favour of the home team.
