Rearcross 'B' 1 - Ballymackey 'B' 2
Rearcross B lined out against Ballymackey B in what was the last league game of the season. The home side started brightly with Gary Ryan getting in an early shot that went just wide. Ballymackey soon settled into what turned out to be an entertaining game and nearly scored when their centre forward dragged his effort just wide. Both sides were creating chances with the home side coming close with James Deegan and Mark Hogan. Rearcross broke the deadlock when Mark Hogan set up Joey Nolan for what was a great finish to put Rearcross ahead. Ballymackey pressed hard for an equaliser and were successful when the ball was put back across the box and finished to the net by the attacking midfielder. The visitors nearly had a second when a goal bound shot was touched onto the crossbar by the Rearcross keeper and the centre forward then headed against the crossbar with Martin McLoughlin clearing the danger. The second started with Rearcross dominating but finding hard to score. Mark Hogan came close with an effort that went over and Gary Ryan made a great run just to see his shot deflected out for a corner. However it was Ballymackey who took the lead when the centre forward found the net with a shot inside the box. Rearcross pressed hard for to draw level with Matthew Ryan Luke and Martin McLoughlin forcing saves from the Ballymackey Keeper. Ballymackey had a couple of late chances with one of them hitting the crossbar. It finished 2 goals to 1 in favour of Ballymackey and ended another league season for Rearcross B team.
