Rearcross U-14's were the visitors to Nenagh VEC for this U-14 league game and came home empty handed after losing on a four goals to two scoreline. It was one way traffic in the first half as Nenagh Celtic hit the green & whites for four unanswered goals. The half time team talk took effect as Rearcross displayed a much more positive approach in the second period and pulled a goal back thirteen minutes in with a superb forty yard effort from Patrick Deegan. The visitors kept the pressure on and further reduced the deficit when Darragh Kennedy converted from the spot. Rearcross totally dominated the encounter after this, the woodwork denied Gary McMahon three minutes from time with a fine effort that thumped off the Nenagh Celtic crossbar. It proved to be a luckless outing for the visitors when Patrick Deegan's free kick effort also hit the crossbar with a minute to go in a game that Rearcross deserved to take a result.
