Rearcross U-16's 2 - Puckane 4

Rearcross U-16's entertained Puckane in the U-16 league last Saturday, the visitors enjoyed most of the early possession and went one nil ahead after twenty minutes. Rearcross fought hard to back in to the game and were duly awarded with a penalty ten minutes before half time that was ably converted by John Berkery. Puckane went in front for the second time just before the half time whistle after a defensive error. Rearcross applied all the pressure after the restart but found the Puckane defence in resolute form. A much stronger Puchane outfit put the game beyond Rearcross with successive goals midway through the half to leave Rearcross 4-1 in arrears. Liam Ryan pulled a goal back for Rearcross with nine minutes remaining with a goal from a corner kick.
