Rearcross U-16's had to do it the hard way to earn a share of the spoils against a dogged Moneygall side in an away league fixture last Saturday. Rearcross got off to a dreadful start and found themselves three nil in arrears after fifteen minutes. Rearcross fearing annihilation got their act together and slowly but surely clawed their way back in to the fray. Rearcross were thrown a lifeline when the ball finished in the net after good work by Nigel Ryan on the edge of the box. Davy O'Toole made it 3-2 early in the second half when he pounced on a loose ball in the square and dispatched with aplomb to the back of the net. Rearcross stuck to their task well and were denied the equaliser when Nigel Ryan's penalty kick came back of the post, Rearcross still had fuel left in the tank despite this setback and got a deserved equaliser with minutes remaining when Gerard Nolan swung in a corner kick which deceived the Moneygall net minder and finished in the net to round of what might yet be deemed the comeback of the season.
