Rearcross U-16's travelled to Islandbawn last Saturday for a league encounter with Nenagh Town and lost out on a 3-2 scoreline. Rearcross started well and were one nil up after twenty minutes when John Berkery was on target. Nenagh equalised soon after with a well taken goal. Rearcross went ahead for the second time on 27 minutes when Eamon Devitt scored a fine individual goal. Rearcross were unlucky not to go further ahead five minutes before the half time whistle when Sean Sheehy's well struck shot clipped the crossbar. Nenagh were the more dominant side in the second half and sealed the victory with two nicely taken goals. Rearcross were somewhat unlucky not to salvage a draw when Eamon Devitt's shot hit the crossbar in the 79th minute. Best for Rearcross Sean Sheehy, Davy O'Toole and Eamon Devit.
