Rearcross U-14's 1 - Puckane 2

Rearcross U-14's put up a brave performance last Saturday in Rearcross against a strong Puckane team and were somewhat unlucky to be on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline. Puckane took a one nil lead in the 10th minute with a well taken goal, David O'Toole equalised for Rearcross five minutes before the break with a fine individual goal. Puckane piled on the attacks in the second half putting the home defence under severe pressure, with Rearcross keeper Simon Kennedy to the fore making a string of saves, however the visiting team got the vital breakthrough with nine minutes remaining when the ball was finished to the net from close range. Others to do well for Rearcross on the day were Liam Murphy, Larry McLoughlin and Derek Nolan.
