Rearcross U-10's 5 - Templemore 'B' 1

Rearcross U-10's completed their league campaign on a winning note last Tuesday evening in Rearcross with a 5 - 1 victory over Templemore 'B'. Cormac Nolan put Rearcross in front early in the half with a long range effort, Vicky Reynolds made it two nil with a fine strike midway through the half. Greg Kennedy kept the scoreline intact minutes later with a fine save from Templemore's Daniel Ryan. The visitors were three nil in arrears with two minutes remaining in the half when Thomas Ryan was on hand to score from close range. With nothing at stake for either side, the second half was used as an opportunity to give all subs a taste of the action. Vicky Reynolds grabbed a second at the beginning of the half with a well worked goal. A determined Templemore outfit were dominant for the remainder of the half but had to wait until the 36th minute for the goal their efforts deserved when Frank Kennedy shot to the roof of the net from in front of goal. The crossbar saved Rearcross in the 37th minute when Frank Kennedy's effort rebounded back in to play, Rearcross counter attacked and Cormac Nolan found space to score from close range to seal the victory.
Templemore had good performances from Keith Morris, Chris Treacy and Daniel Ryan, while Kieran Devitt, Marc Murphy and Vicky Reynolds shone for Rearcross.
