Rearcross U-12's 1 - Nenagh Town 'A' 4
Rearcross U-12's were knocked out of the U-12 Cup last Saturday
morning in Rearcross on a 4-1 scoreline by premier division side Nenagh Town
'A'. Rearcross spent most of the first half on the back foot and went behind
in the 7th minute when the visitors scored well taken goal, Nenagh went two
up five minutes later with a well worked goal. Damien Wade averted the danger
when he had to clear of the line twice midway through the half to prevent
Nenagh from stretching their lead. Danny O'Brien came close for Rearcross
with five minutes remaining in the half. Nenagh added a third on the stroke
of half time when Rearcross were caught on the counter attack. Rearcross upped
their performance in the second half and pulled a goal back with ten minutes
remaining when James Gough's free kick finished in the back of the net. Nenagh
finished stronger and copper fastened the victory with an injury time penalty.
